Virgin Mobile is entering the personal hot spot fray and offering the new router MiFi 2200.  A person can have up to five Wi-Fi devices hooked up to it, all of them  gaining access to Virgin’s 3G network simultaneously. It holds the  distinction of being the first US-based prepaid plan available for the  pocket router.

Speaking about security the MiFi 2200 has most of the bases covered with WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WEP and SPI firewall security, alongside a VPN feature for those who want to gain remote work access. Currently, its battery is rated at four hours of operation. This product is available in the US and is priced at about $150.
