LaCie Big Disk Network D2 Network NAS

LaCie have announced two new storage servers intended for small workgroups.  The LaCie Big Disk Network and d2 Network can each support up to 50 users (15 simultaneously), with the Big Disk having dual RAID 0 drives for up to 4TBs capacity, while the d2 Network has 1.5TB of its own storage plus an eSATA port for adding external high-speed drives.

Both drives also have a USB port, which can be used to add hard-drives either to expand overall capacity or make a backup of your backup for storing elsewhere.  It’s not all good news for dry network admins, either: the Big Disk and d2 Network each support UPnP and DLNA media streaming.

There’s also an integrated BitTorrent client for standalone downloads, and a comprehensive admin panel that lets you assign users and groups.  Both drives are available now, with the LaCie Big Disk Network priced at $379.99 and the LaCie d2 Network priced at $189.99.

Ericsson W30 and W35 3G Routers

3G routers are opened step by step, since there are several providers who offer their services with these devices. Ericsson is now on with your mobile solution with the new W30 (left) and W35 (right), some routers that have been seen in the FCC and they have very good looking.

Ericsson’s new W30 and W35 models will do a purely theoretical 7.2Mbps downstream and 2.0Mbps upstream on three HSPA bands in addition to quadband EDGE. Both models feature 802.11b / g and four Ethernet ports for routing the high-speed WWAN data.
Both offer coverage HSPA / UMTS / GSM as well as connections via WiFi, Ethernet and a USB port in which we can connect a printer to share on the network. The only difference between the two is that the W35 model offers voice and fax. Obviously, as price or availability details are still unknown.
Update: As our readers shows Sebastian, the W35 model also incorporates an internal battery, which we assume that the router can take anywhere without having to plug.

PogoPlug Network Drive Mac Friendly Adapter

PogoPlug Network Drive Adapter, which enables web access to external hard drives, now supports the Journaled HFS+ file system commonly used by Mac OS X. When connected to a user’s network, the device adds network access to USB external drives or memory sticks. Drives can be accessed by any Mac or Windows PC.

Once the device is connected via its gigabit Ethernet port, users enter a code and create a user name and password. Drives can be accessed from within the Finder on Mac OS X machines on the local network, or remotely via the web. PogoPlug requires an Intel-based Mac running OS X 10.5 and above. Currently on backorder until July, the device will be available online from PogoPlug itself for $100.

Verizon PC770 Hybrid 3G Modem

Verizon two-in-one modem to its 3G adapters. Novatel’s PC770 has a nested design that can either work as an ExpressCard/34 adapter for some modern notebooks or, with an adapter, fits into older systems with PC Card slots. It supports up to EVDO Revision A speeds and uses technology from Novatel that reportedly helps maintain speed during simultaneous two-way traffic.

The card works with both Windows PCs as well as some MacBook Pros and PowerBooks. It’s slated to arrive in retail stores on August 2nd and will sell for $100 when joined to a two-year data plan and a $50 rebate.

Huawei has launched the new E585 model, a 3G pocket router that allow to use their 3G connection to create a WiFi network to share with five devices simultaneously. Equipped with a monochrome OLED display allows you to read all the navigational information, such as traffic, 3G signal and battery status. Autonomy should arrive in four hours and has an input for microSD to share files online. The Huawei E585 will be available from next month subscription for $74.

Virgin Mobile is entering the personal hot spot fray and offering the new router MiFi 2200.
