PogoPlug Network Drive Adapter, which enables web access to external hard drives, now supports the Journaled HFS+ file system commonly used by Mac OS X. When connected to a user’s network, the device adds network access to USB external drives or memory sticks. Drives can be accessed by any Mac or Windows PC.
Once the device is connected via its gigabit Ethernet port, users enter a code and create a user name and password. Drives can be accessed from within the Finder on Mac OS X machines on the local network, or remotely via the web. PogoPlug requires an Intel-based Mac running OS X 10.5 and above. Currently on backorder until July, the device will be available online from PogoPlug itself for $100.
