Iomega StorCenter ix4-200d Quad-Drive Network Attached Storage (NAS) is available in 2TB, 4TB and 8TB capacities and comes with EMC’s LifeLine software, which is fully compatible with Windows and Linux PCs as well as Macs.
There is iSCSI block-level access, device-to-device replication to network targets. Users can also remotely access and manage the NAS, which connects to networks via dual gigabit Ethernet ports. IP security camera support means users can also access video from their office when they’re away. Standalone operation is enhanced thanks to a front panel LCD and QuikTransfer button with copies selected files.
The device can also be uses as a UPnP AV Media Server and can stream photos, audio and videos to DLNA and UPnP certified media players, including the Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3. Bluetooth is also supported.
The NAS is VMware-certified, and ships pre-configured as a RAID 5 array. It was also be configured to RAID 10 or JBOD. Up to four SATA II drives can fill the NAS.
